MakePerfectAds is an AI video ad generator offered as an invite-only beta with Google sign-in. What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to run the waitlist, respond to you, sign you in, and generate your ads.

• Waitlist form: your email; optionally your name, website, role, main use and language interest; your optional consent to product-update emails (unticked by default); the UTM parameters, referrer and landing page of your visit; a keyed hash of your IP address (we never store the raw IP); and your browser family (for example "chrome"). We use this to manage the waitlist, send confirmations and invites, and understand demand.
• Contact form: your email, optional name, topic and message, and an IP hash. We use this to answer you.
• Accounts: when you sign in with Google (through Supabase) we receive your email, name, profile picture URL and account id. We use this to create and secure your account.
• Using the product: the links you submit; text and images read from those pages; photos you upload; your ad plan (brief, script, shot list); generated videos; and job records (status, timings, checks). We use this to produce the ad you requested.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases:

• Contract: to provide the service once you create an account and to generate the ads you ask for.
• Legitimate interests: to operate and secure the service, manage the waitlist, and answer your messages, balanced against your rights.
• Consent: to send you product-update or marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time (every email has one-click unsubscribe).
• Legal obligation: where we must keep or disclose data to comply with the law.

Processors we use

We use the following processors to handle data on our behalf:

International transfers

Some of our processors may store or process data in countries other than India. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism) so your data keeps a comparable level of protection. The specific hosting locations are to be confirmed before launch.

AI processing of the content you submit

MakePerfectAds is an AI service. The links you submit, the pages we read, the photos you upload and the ad details you confirm are processed by AI (via Google's Gemini API) to plan and generate your video ad. Output is generated by AI from what you provide; you review it before publishing, and automatic checks do not judge persuasiveness or legal compliance. We do not use your content to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you without human involvement.

How long we keep data (retention)

• Unconfirmed waitlist entries: deleted after 90 days.
• Waitlist entries that never join: deleted or anonymised 12 months after launch.
• Contact messages: deleted 24 months after they are handled.
• Account data and projects: kept until you ask us to delete them. Self-serve deletion is coming; until then, email [privacy email to be confirmed] and we reply within 30 days.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

If you are in India, you have the right to access a summary of your personal data and the processing we carry out; to correct, complete, update or erase your personal data; to nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity; and to grievance redressal. To exercise any of these rights, or to raise a grievance, contact our grievance officer at [privacy email to be confirmed]. We will respond within the timelines required by law. If your grievance is not resolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR (EU and UK users)

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access your personal data; to rectification; to erasure; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Wherever you are, you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the one-click link in any such email. Unsubscribing never removes app access, and joining the waitlist never grants it.

Security

We protect data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), private file storage with per-user folders, and row-level security in the database so each account sees only its own projects and assets. Children

MakePerfectAds is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact [privacy email to be confirmed] and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the product and our practices change. When we do, we will revise the "updated" date above and, where appropriate, tell you. Significant changes will be communicated before they take effect.
